IBPS PO Notification 2024:  The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection will release the notification for the IBPS PO Exam 2024 in July 2024. Candidates who are eagerly waiting for the release of the advertisement will be able to apply by visiting the official website, which is accessible at https://ibps.in/.

Notification for IBPS PO Exam 2024 will be released officially in July and then the application form will be available till August. To apply online, a window will be available on the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection’s official website for four weeks.

IBPS PO Exam Date 2024

Exam Date for IBPS PO 2024 is announced officially by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. Preliminary exams will take place on 19 and 20 October 2024, and those who clear the first stage will be called for Mains, which is tentatively scheduled to be held on 30 November 2024.

IBPS PO Vacancy 2024

Number of vacancies for the post of Probationary Officers in PNB, BOB, CB, IB, BOI, CBI, IOB, PSB, UCOB, UBI and BOM is not yet disclosed officially. There is a high speculation that notification may be released officially for around 4000 to 5000 positions.

IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria 2024

To participate in the IBPS PO Exam 2024 to be appointed as a Probationary Officer in any of the eleven participating banks, an individual must meet the following criterias:

    • Each correct answer: +1 mark

  • Content: Questions related to the candidate’s background, banking sector, current affairs, and general awareness.

Candidates who will clear all these three stages and get at least cut off marks as aggregate will be shortlisted to be appointed as PO in any of the 11 participating banks.

IBPS PO Prelims Exam Pattern 2024

The IBPS PO preliminary examination has a total duration of 1 hour and 20 minutes for each section, which will be conducted in online mode. It consists of 3 sections with a total of 100 questions and a maximum score of 100 marks. There is a negative marking in the IBPS PO pre-exam and 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates must clear the cut-off in all 3 sections to qualify for the IBPS PO Main exam. The section-wise details are given below:

IBPS PO Mains Exam Pattern 2024

The IBPO PO Main exam is also conducted online, it has 5(4+1) sections with a total score of 200+25 marks and total duration of 180+30 minutes. IBPS will be conducting a descriptive paper in its mains exam for the selection of candidates for the post of Probationary Officer. The sections must be attempted in the same order and the allotted time as mandated at the time of the exam. A candidate has to clear both preliminary and mains examinations to be eligible for the interview process.

Final Score Calculation for IBPS PO Exam

The final score for the IBPS PO exam is calculated keeping the following points in mind:

• Marks obtained in the Preliminary Exam (Tier-1) will not be considered in the final score and are only for qualifying to Mains Exam (Tier-2).

• Candidates must qualify for Phase-2 and Interview separately to be eligible for final merit.

• The weightage (ratio) of IBPS PO Main exam and interview for the final merit list will be 80:20 respectively.

• The aggregate score out of 100 is used for the final merit list for each category. Candidates with top merit rank in each category are finally selected.
