• Minimum Qualification: Graduation in any stream from a recognized University with at least 50% marks (Open Merit) and 45% marks (reserved categories). Candidates with a Postgraduate degree (50% marks) or PhD are also eligible. (Per Govt. order No.148-F/2025.)
• Age: 18–40 years (relaxation for reserved categories as per rules).
• Domicile: Must satisfy J&K UT domicile rules as per advertisement.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

Based on the official JKSSB syllabus PDF for Accounts/Finance posts and earlier recruitments, selection is likely to be a single-stage written objective test (120 marks, 2 hours), followed by document verification. The written test usually covers GK (with J&K emphasis), Accounting & Bookkeeping, Economics, Mathematics/Statistics, and Computer knowledge.

Earlier JKSSB Accounts Assistant roles were offered at pay bands equivalent to Level-5 / Level-6 in 7th CPC (starting basic often shown around ₹29,200 in some past ads). A realistic range for Accounts Assistant is roughly ₹29,200 – ₹92,300 (basic pay band shown in previous recruitments)

What is the exam pattern for JKSSB FAA?
